Laser 2000 supplies a wide range of passive and fibre optic components suitable for incorporation into optical networks and research projects.

Our products include adapters, fibre patchcords and pigtails, fibre optic rotary joints, couplers, and splitters, all available with a large variety of specifications and package options.

In addition to these listings, we are able to provide custom solutions, and ruggedised military and aerospace components.

Please get in touch if you would like advice or assistance in selecting a product.

Couplers and Splitters

Fibre Optic Couplers / Splitters

Laser 2000 offers a range of fibre optic couplers and splitters for use in network monitoring applications etc.

Fibre couplers are used to combine the optical power from multiple input fibres (“ports”) to one common output port. They can also be operated as a fibre splitter, where optical power from the input ports is split between the output ports.

Three technologies are available: Fused biconic tapered, thin filter coupler, and integrated waveguide directional coupler.

Attenuators

Fibre Optic Attenuators

Adaptor, inline and mechanical variable attenuators suitable for a wide range of fibre optic and network applications. Custom specifications are also available, please contact us for details.

Bronze Sleeve Adapters

Fibre Optic Adapters

A range of fibre optic adapters featuring low insertion loss and low back reflection loss. These adapters are easy to handle, environmentally stable and suitable for telecoms applications including local area networks, fibre to the home, fibre optic sensors, testing instruments and CATV.

The range includes bare fibre adapters suitable for applications such as OTDR acceptance testing, power meter hookup, approximate loss / continuity testing, talkset connection and visible fault location.

Patchcords

Patch Cords

Patch cords: Laser 2000 offers a wide range of optical fibre-based cable assemblies for indoor or outdoor use.

Cables can be customised to your specific requirements:

  • Termination of multi-fibre cables with the connectors of your choice
  • Cables can be supplied with pulling eyes/socks to allow pulling through ducting with ease
  • MPO/MTP terminated cables
  • OM1, OM2, OM3, OM4 & OS1
  • LC
  • SC
  • ST
  • FC
  • MTRJ
  • Armoured
  • Pigtailed

We offer short delivery times and competitive pricing.

Fibre Reels

Lab based research often requires emulating real world conditions including long lengths of fibre.

Available in a variety of fibre types and lengths plus in portable or rackmount footprints, Laser 2000 can provide the right build for your application.

Fibre Optic Rotary Joints (FORJ)

Fibre Optic Rotary Joints & Accessories

These fibre optic rotary joints (FORJs) have high optical performance, are blind spot free and are suitable for harsh environments. Single-channel, two-channel and multi-channel FORJ types are available in this versatile range.

Some of the more specialist FORJs available from Laser 2000 include the RPC series, which has a particularly high pressure rating of 20,000 psi for deep water applications. The MJP FORJs are not fluid filled for higher spin, which can be useful in optical coherence tomography (OCT) applications. This FORJ also accepts both standard and speciality/custom fibre.

Please get in touch if you would like more information on any of these fibre optic rotary joints and their suitability for a particular application.
